เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์นำเสนอประสบการณ์การจัดหาแรงงานข้ามชาติอย่างมีจริยธรรมในงานเปิดตัวโครงการการย้ายถิ่น ธุรกิจ และสิทธิมนุษยชน ของไอโอเอ็ม

เมื่อวันที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2567 ที่ผ่านมา เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ได้เข้าร่วมงานเปิดตัวโครงการการย้ายถิ่น ธุรกิจและสิทธิมนุษยชน ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2567-2572 ขององค์การระหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐาน (ไอโอเอ็ม) เวทีนี้ถือเป็นความก้าวหน้าที่สำคัญในความพยายามอย่างต่อเนื่องขององค์การระหว่างประเทศ โดยร่วมมือกับภาคธุรกิจเพื่อจัดการกับข้อท้าทายที่เกิดขึ้นกับแรงงานข้ามชาติในภูมิภาคนี้ เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับการขจัดปัญหาแรงงานบังคับและคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชนและสิทธิแรงงานตลอดห่วงโซ่คุณค่าของธุรกิจของเครือ ขอแสดงความขอบคุณมายังสหภาพยุโรป และ รัฐบาลสวีเดน ที่ได้ให้การสนับสนุนงบประมาณในการดำเนินโครงการดังกล่าวของไอโอเอ็มในภูมิภาคนี้ในอีก 5 ปีข้างหน้า

โดยในเวทีนี้ คุณนิธิพัศ นันทวโรภาส ผู้จัดการฝ่าย สำนักความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศด้านความยั่งยืนและการสื่อสารองค์กร ในฐานะผู้แทนของเครือฯ ได้เข้าร่วมในเวทีอภิปรายในหัวข้อความก้าวหน้าในการดำเนินงานของภาคธุรกิจในการต่อต้านการใช้แรงงานบังคับ โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มแรงงานข้ามชาติในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน โดยในเวทีมีผู้แทนจากภาคธุรกิจอื่น ๆ เข้าร่วม ได้แก่ ผู้แทนจาก IKEA Panasonic และ Thai Union Group คุณนิธิพัศ ฯ ได้เน้นย้ำในการดำเนินงานของเครือฯ ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการจัดการกับความท้าทายที่แรงงานข้ามชาติต้องเผชิญ ซึ่งรวมถึงการประกาศใช้นโยบายการจ้างแรงงานข้ามชาติ การจัดตั้งโครงการจัดหาแรงงานข้ามชาติอย่างมีจริยธรรม และการสร้างกลไกการร้องทุกข์ที่เป็นธรรมและเข้าถึงได้ คุณนิธิพัศฯ ยังได้ ย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นที่แน่วแน่ของเครือฯ ที่จะให้ความคุ้มครองสิทธิของแรงงานข้ามชาติ โดยร่วมมือกับไอโอเอ็ม หน่วยงานของสหประชาชาติและองค์การอื่นๆ เครือข่ายภาคธุรกิจ รัฐบาล และองค์กรภาคประชาสังคมในประเด็นดังกล่าว

C.P. Group Shares Ethical Recruitment Best Practices at IOM Migration Business and Human Rights Program Launch

20th February, 2024 C.P. Group participated in the launch event of the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Migration Business and Human Rights Asia 2024-2028 program on the 20th of February, 2024. The event marked a significant step in the ongoing efforts of international organizations to address the challenges faced by migrants in the region in cooperation with businesses. C.P. Group, dedicated to eradicating forced labor and upholding rights throughout its value chain, expressed gratitude towards the European Union and the Swedish government for their financial support of IOM’s program in the region over the next five years.

During the event, Nitipat Nantavaropas, Department Manager at the Global Partnership for Sustainability and Communications, represented the Group on a panel discussing the progress made by businesses in combating forced labor among migrant workers in the Group’s supply chain. Alongside representatives from IKEA, Panasonic, and Thai Union Group, Mr. Nitipat highlighted the Group’s initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by migrant workers. These initiatives include the Group’s ethical recruitment policy, the Ethical Recruitment Program, and accessible and fair grievance mechanisms. He reiterated the Group’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of migrant workers in collaboration with IOM, other UN and international bodies, industry peers, government agencies, and civil society organizations.
