27 มีนาคม 2567 เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ โดย สำนักความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศด้านความยั่งยืนและสื่อสารองค์กร ได้จัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการออนไลน์ในหัวข้อ ‘How Businesses Can Tackle Inequality’ เพื่อแบ่งปันกรณีศึกษา และแนวปฏิบัติที่ดีที่ธุรกิจควรดำเนินการเพื่อลดความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคม ในวาระนี้ ดร. มัลลิกา บุญญาศรีรัตน์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักอธิการบดีและบริหารความยั่งยืน สถาบันการจัดการปัญญาภิวัฒน์ ได้นำเสนอเรื่องการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำด้านการศึกษา และการดูแลเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อม ผ่านโครงการหลากหลาย อาทิ การคัดแยกขยะ การสร้างเครือข่ายรีไซเคิล รวมถึงการดูแลนักเรียนผ่านโครงการ ส่งรอยยิ้มสู่ยอดดอย และ โครงการเครือข่ายสร้างสุขสู่ปลายด้านขวาน ดร.ยศวีร์ นิรันดร์วิชย หัวหน้าฝ่ายผลิตภัณฑ์และกลยุทธ์ ธุรกิจดิจิทัลเฮลท์ ทรู ดิจิทัล กรุ๊ป ได้บรรยายถึงการใช้เทคโนโลยี และแอปพลิเคชัน หมอดี เพื่อช่วยลดความเหลื่อมล้ำในการเข้าถึงบริการทางการแพทย์ คุณเปรม ทรัพย์บุญเลิศมา ผู้จัดการแผนกความยั่งยืนองค์กร ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ โลตัส ได้นำเสนอโมเดลการช่วยเหลือเกษตรกรให้มีรายได้ที่มั่นคง และคุณภาสกร สาตร์พันธ์ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการด้านความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมและการพัฒนาองค์กรอย่างยั่งยืน บริษัท กรุงเทพโปรดิ๊วส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) ก็ได้นำเสนอเรื่อง การทำงานร่วมกับคู่ค้า และกระบวนการการตรวจสอบย้อนกลับ โดยมีเพื่อนพนักงานกว่า 100 คน เข้าร่วมฟังการบรรยาย
ดร. เนติธร ประดิษฐ์สาร ผู้ช่วยบริหารประธานคณะผู้บริหารและรองกรรมการผู้จัดการด้านความยั่งยืนและสื่อสารองค์กร บริษัท เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ จำกัด กล่าวว่า เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์เข้าใจความสำคัญของการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำ เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์นําหลักการ “สามประโยชน์” เป็นแนวทางการประกอบธุรกิจมากว่า 100 ปี กล่าวคือ การคํานึงถึง ผลประโยชน์ของประเทศที่เราลงทุนก่อนเป็นลําดับแรก ตามด้วย ผลประโยชน์ของชุมชน และของบริษัทเองเป็นลําดับสุดท้าย และ ความเหลื่อมล้ำนั้นเป็นปัญหาใหญ่สำหรับสังคมที่เราต้องช่วยจัดการ มากกว่านั้น การลดความเหลื่อมล้ำเป็นหนึ่งในเป้าหมาย การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของสหประชาชาติ (SDGs) และเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ของเป้าหมายความยั่งยืนของเครือฯ
อีกทั้งการร่วมเป็นภาคีของสภาธุรกิจโลกเพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน หรือ World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) โดยทาง WCBSD นั้นเห็นความสำคัญ ของประเด็นเรื่องความเหลื่อมล้ำ จึงได้จัดตั้งคณะกรรมาธิการเพื่อ ขจัดปัญหาความเหลื่อมล้ำ หรือ Business Commission to Tackle Inequality (BCTI) โดยตรง รวมเครือฯยังมีการจัดทำรายงาน สิทธิมนุษยชน ซึ่งสนับสนุนความโปร่งใส โดยการตั้งเป้าชัดเจนด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน และติดตามความคืบหน้าในประเด็นเช่นความเหลื่อมล้ำ การเก็บข้อมูลและตรวจสอบข้อมูล อย่างเป็นระบบนั้น จะช่วยให้ทั้งเครือและบริษัท เข้าใจถึงสิ่งที่เราต้องทำ และพัฒนาเพื่อช่วยลดความเหลื่อมล้ำ ทั้งในและนอกบริษัท

C.P. Group Organizes Online Workshop on “How Businesses Can Tackle Inequality” to Drive Business Action
March 27th, 2024 – A workshop was organized by Charoen Pokphand Group’s Global Partnership Office for Sustainability and Communications for practitioners on the subject of “How Businesses Can Tackle Inequality,” with more than a hundred colleagues in attendance. During the workshop, experts from across the Group convened to exchange valuable insights, case studies, and effective strategies in tackling the pressing societal challenge of inequality. Dr. Mullika Boonyasrirat, Director, Office of the President and Sustainability Management at the Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), spoke on reducing inequalities in education. She discussed PIM’s unique “work-based education”, recycling and upcycling program, and initiatives to support and provide education to marginalized students from the conflict-afflicted southern provinces and the rural northern border areas. Dr. Yosavee Niranvichaiya, Head of Digital Health at True Digital Group and Head of Product & Strategy at MorDee, elaborated on how the MorDee app harnesses telemedicine to provide essential health services to isolated communities, which includes the provision of medicine delivery. By utilizing technology, the MorDee app can help address the challenge of heath inequity more effectively. Mr. Prem Sabboonlerdma, the Regional Sustainability Manager for the Northeast at Lotus’s, described how Lotus’s direct sourcing from farmers contributes to combating inequality by improving their livelihoods, fostering business expansion, and provide tools and knowledge for cost management and skills enhancement. Furthermore, Mr. Passakorn Sartphan, Assistant Managing Director, Corporate Sustainability & Sustainability at Bangkok Produce Merchandising (BKP), highlighted BKP’s collaborative efforts across the supply chain and their innovative Corn Traceability System. This system effectively monitors and prevents illegal agricultural burning, addressing the persistent issue of smog and promoting the right to a clean environment.
Dr. Netithorn Praditsarn, Executive Assistant to Group CEO and Senior Vice President of the Global Partnership for Sustainability and Communications of Charoen Pokphand Group, said that the Group has operated for over a hundred years based on the Three-Benefits Principle, putting the needs of the countries and communities we operate within before the Group’s own. As inequality poses a threat to the very foundations of our societies and economies, it is an issue that the Group is committed to addressing as part of our own sustainability targets as well as the UN SGD 10: Reduce Inequalities.
The Group has also joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s (WBCSD) Equity Action initiative as a Commissioner in the Business Commission to Tackle Inequality (BCTI) to engage on this issue on a global scale. Alongside this partnership, the Group has also begun publishing an annual Human Rights Report since 2021, in order to improve our transparency and engage with stakeholders on important issues like inequality. The Group continues to drive action both within and without, to tackle inequality in all forms across our business and the wider society.
