ดร. เนติธร ประดิษฐ์สาร ผู้ช่วยบริหาร ประธานคณะผู้บริหารและรองกรรมการผู้จัดการอาวุโส ด้านการพัฒนาความยั่งยืนและสื่อสาร เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นตัวแทนภาคธุรกิจในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ในการเสวนาหัวข้อ “An Introduction to Managing Human Rights Risks and Issues” ที่จัดขึ้นโดยสภาธุรกิจโลกเพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน (World Business Council for Sustainable Development – WBCSD) และ Global Business Initiative (GBI) ซึ่งทั้ง 2 องค์กรได้ชื่นชมและเชิญเครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์เข้าร่วมการเสวนาในฐานะบริษัทต้นแบบในการดำเนินงานด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนวิสัยทัศน์และประสบการณ์ในการดำเนินกระบวนการตรวจสอบด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนอย่างรอบด้าน (Human Rights Due Diligence) ในทุกขั้นตอนการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัทในเครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ตลอดจนกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Supply Chain)
ในขณะที่หลายรัฐบาลทั่วโลก อาทิ สหราชอาณาจักร ออสเตรเลีย สหรัฐอเมริกา และสหภาพยุโรป เริ่มมีกระแสการออกกฎหมายเพื่อให้บริษัทเอกชนดูแลสิทธิมนุษยชนตลอดห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (supply chain) ภาคธุรกิจจึงเลี่ยงไม่ได้ที่จะต้องหันมาสนใจการเคารพสิทธิมนุษยชน ดร. เนติธร ประดิษฐ์สาร ได้ย้ำถึงวิสัยทัศน์ของ คุณศุภชัย เจียรวนนท์ ประธานคณะผู้บริหาร ของเครือฯ ในการผลักดันให้ประเด็นด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวัฒนธรรมองค์กร และเล่าถึงประสบการณ์ตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนแรกในการพัฒนากระบวนการตรวจสอบด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนอย่างรอบด้าน จนถึงการแก้ไขความท้าทายต่าง ๆ ในการดำเนินงานด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน เพื่อให้มั่นใจว่าทุกขั้นตอนในการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัทมีการตรวจสอบ ประเมิน และป้องกันความเสี่ยงด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน เพื่อไม่ให้การดำเนินธุรกิจนำไปสู่การละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนของผู้มีส่วนได้เสียทุกกลุ่มตลอดห่วงโซ่อุปทาน

29 September 2021 Dr. Netithorn Praditsarn, Executive Assistant to Group CEO and Senior Vice President for Global Partnership for Sustainability and Communications at Charoen Pokphand Group represented business sector in Southeast Asia in “An Introduction to Managing Human Rights Risks and Issues” webinar convened by Global Business Initiative (GBI) and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). The organizers praised C.P. Group for its continuous commitment to drive business with respect to human rights and invited the Group to exchange practical approaches and connect with peers from diverse companies to manage human rights issues.
Many countries around the world including United Kingdom, Australia, United States, and European Union have begun adopting legislation for mandatory human rights due diligence. Companies across the world are increasingly facing obligations to identify, prevent, and mitigate human rights risks to their operation. Dr. Netithorn Praditsarn shared Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, CEO of C.P. Group’s, strong ambition to embed respect for human rights into the corporate culture and the Group’s experience in developing the human rights due diligence process, mechanism to assess human rights risks and ways to address challenges along the way. He also explained practical approaches to managing human rights.
