2 กรกฎาคม 2566 – เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ เข้าร่วมงาน Sawasdee DC งานเทศกาลไทยในกรุงวอชิงตัน เพื่อฉลองโอกาสครบรอบ 190 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-สหรัฐฯ ในปี 2566 จัดโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงวอชิงตัน โดย นายธานี แสงรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูต โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมและขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์ไทย-สหรัฐฯ ผ่านการทูตสาธารณะ การทูตวัฒนธรรมและการทูตเศรษฐกิจ สนับสนุน Soft Power ส่งเสริมความเป็นไทย ขยายตลาดอาหาร สินค้า นวัตกรรม บริการและการท่องเที่ยวไทยในสหรัฐฯ เสริมสร้างความเข็มแข็งให้แก่ชุมชนและธุรกิจไทยทั้งในสหรัฐฯและจากประเทศไทย ภายในงานมีการจัดแสดงสินค้า นวัตกรรมและบริการของภาคธุรกิจไทย เวทีแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรม อาทิ นาฎศิลป์ นวดไทย มวยไทย ผลไม้ไทย ผ้าไทย ตลอดจนมีศิลปินไทยมาร่วมแสดงภายในงาน รวมถึงมีการจัดจำหน่ายอาหารไทยจากผู้ประกอบการในเขตกรุงวอชิงตัน รัฐแมริแลนด์และรัฐเวอร์จิเนีย รวมถึงบูธอาหารจากซีพีเอฟ นอกจากนี้ยังมี นาง Erika Moritsugu, Deputy Assistant to the President and AAPI Senior Liaison นาง Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade นาย Robert Ogburn, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Media นาย Ben de Guzmen, Executive Director of Mayor’s Office on AAPI Affairs นาย Jim Walker , Board Member of AFS-USA และ Dr. John Bader, Executive Director of Fullbright Association นายอาณัติ จุลินทร หัวหน้าเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารของซีพีเอฟ ภูมิภาคอเมริกาเหนือ นายอำพล อสุวพงษ์พัฒนา รองกรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ จำกัด ให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมงาน งาน Sawasdee DC Thai Festival ตอบสนองต่อผลประโยชน์ของไทยในทุกมิติ ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า 30,000 คน ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความเป็นมิตรประเทศที่ใกล้ชิดกันมาถึง ๑๙๐ ปี ประการสำคัญ การสนับสนุนและความร่วมมือจากชุมชนและสมาคมไทยทั่วสหรัฐฯ ภาคเอกชนไทยและสหรัฐฯ หน่วยงานสหรัฐฯ และมิตรของไทยในสหรัฐฯ เป็นส่วนสำคัญยิ่งที่ทำให้งาน Sawasdee DC Thai Festival ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างสูงสุด
ในการนี้ เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ร่วมสนับสนุนและเผยแพร่ศิลปะแม่ไม้มวยไทย ศิลปะการป้องกันตัว โชว์ศักยภาพ Soft Power ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ประจำชาติไทยไปสู่ต่างประเทศ โดยคุณสมบัติ บัญชาเมฆ (บัวขาว) ได้รับเสียงตอบรับและให้ความสนใจ จากชาวต่างชาติ สื่อต่างชาติ รวมถึงคนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในสหรัฐอเมริกาอย่างล้นหลาม
Charoen Pokphand Group supports the Sawasdee DC Thai Festival to celebrate 190 years of Thai-U.S. diplomatic relations in 2023
2nd July 2023 –Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group), participated in the ‘Sawasdee DC Thai Festival’ to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the United States of America. The festival was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States.
The festival was organized to help deepen Thai-U.S. relations through public, cultural, and economic diplomacy, as well as enhance Thailand’s “soft power” and promote Thai culture. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to expand the market for Thai food, products, innovation, services, and tourism in the United States, while also strengthening Thai communities and businesses between both countries.
Festival participants were able to visit displays of innovations, products, and services presented by Thai companies and enjoy traditional Thai performing arts and culture such as Thai dance, Muay Thai, Thai fruits, Thai textiles, and performances by Thai artists. World famous Thai food was available in abundance to visitors of the event, provided by operators in the Washington, Maryland, and Virginia area, including food booths from C.P. Foods.
Mrs. Erika Moritsugu, Deputy Assistant to the President and AAPI Senior Liaison, Mrs. Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Mr. Robert Ogburn, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Media, Mr. Ben de Guzmen, Executive Director of Mayor’s Office on AAPI Affairs, Mr. Jim Walker , Board Member of AFS-USA, Dr. John Bader, Executive Director of Fullbright Association and Mr. Anat Julintron, Chief Executive Officer of C.P. Foods North America, Bellisio Foods Inc., Overhill Farms Inc., and Frozen Specialties Inc., Mr. Ampon Asuwapongpatana, Vice President US, UK and Europe, Charoen Pokphand Group Co.,Ltd., also attended the festival. The “Sawasdee Dc Thai Festival” benefited Thailand in all dimensions, be they political, economic, or social. It was estimated that over 30,000 people joined for the event, reflecting the 190 years of enduring friendship between both nations. Most importantly, the ultimate success of this festival had been proven by the unwavering support from the Thai communities and associations across the U.S., the Thai and US businesses, the local and federal authorities, as well as all friends of Thailand.
C.P. Group is honored to showcase the art of Mae Mai Muay Thai, a unique Thai martial art that has advanced Thailand’s “soft power.” The Muay Thai display by Mr. Sombat Banchamek, or “Buakaw,” drew extensive attention from attendees, including media outlets and Thai people living in the United States.
